These clients had added a studio to the back of their large Hackney garden a few years ago and although they were very happy with the studio itself the architects had not been able to help them with how it integrated into the rest of the garden or make use of the area at the back. Construction is currently underway on a design that creates a lovely patio for hot summer days in the dappled shade of the large existing trees, while also softening the studio into its surroundings and resolving multiple awkward angles and level changes.
